I have been seeing Paula for facials and she has completely changed my skin. Around 40, some cystic acne returned and new acne on my face. I went through a year of Accutane with no real result in the end that stuck and tried so many other medicines and products that would only help briefly.
She is also great in talking about vitamins and other things to assist your body from within.
It took patience and a little time but completely worth it! Highly recommend seeing Paula and she offers a number of other services.

Paula is very professional and down to earth. Always has good conversation and great bed-side matter. Her wax feels good on the skin and not too hot. It doesn’t hurt like that either. Other waxers have me in pain but for some reason she doesn’t. What an amazing little gem! I was gifted a package for my birthday and it was everything! I had a massage, mani, pedi and facial with champagne and a mini charcuterie board.

I've been going to Tasha for my nails for years. She is very knowledgeable about nail health, and if I ever have a concern, I trust her to provide guidance in my best interest. Sol Cura is my neighborhood Day Spa, and I've been there several times now.  Tasha cuts my hair.  Michie does my nails.  Paula waxes my brows.  All 3 of these ladies are great at what they do, and are wonderful human beings.  The salon is cozy, clean and comfortable.  It's just the right size, in my opinion.  Not too crowded.  I moved to a different part of Uptown, but still within walking distance from Sol Cura.  I love supporting hard working local businesses.  Each of the women in this salon are their own small business.  I recommend all of the services here and the stylists are all lovely.

They have several team members and lots of different services to choose from: Haircuts, Hair Color, Manicure, Pedicure, Massage, UpDos, Makeup, Waxing, Facials, and many more.  All of the staff are educated in what they do and use quality products too.  Do yourself a favor and try this friendly spot.

I booked with Paula through Groupon about two years ago & she's been heaven sent to do my Brazilian ever since. Her skills & customer service is impeccable.

I’ve been coming here for a while now and I really like Paula !! Everyone is always nice and welcoming when I walk in. Also very clean.

Paula is THE best!  She is thorough, takes her time, and is very personable.  My first impression of her was quiet and shy, but it didn't take long for us to develop a rapport and now at my visits we are updating each other on what is going in each of our lives.  I had such a terrible experience with the last spa that I was going to (literally left in tears) and was very reluctant to even get another Brazilian.  I had two friends refer me to her and I decided to give her a try.  It's been over a year now and I'm so happy that I did.  She is a genuine spirit that makes me feel relaxed for what could be somewhat of an awkward experience depending on what services you see her for.  Whether you get to know her or not, her services, prices, and expertise can not be topped.

I was lucky enough to have my first esthetician ever be Paula. She is professional, patient, and a good listener. I’ve learned a lot from her and she’s been a great introduction into the world of esthetics. The team at Sol Cura has always been warm and welcoming and I couldn’t recommend them enough. She always does a very clean, thorough, and quick job. She was my regular waxer while I lived in New Orleans after having had several horrible experiences elsewhere (including Bombshell Wax which was absolutely horrendous). Highly recommend Sol Cura.

Paula is hands down the best. I've used countless hair removal specialists in the New Orleans area over the years and her expertise is unmatched. I'm a big baby when it comes to waxes but she makes it so painless and she does such an amazing job of getting it all evenly! It comes back in so fine and soft. And her prices are just as unbeatable...dare you to find it cheaper with still superb quality. Value is there. She's fast, efficient and has great tunes. Also the kindest person out there. Dont hesitate, give her a try. You wont regret it
